Cobiotex 410 and Cobiotex Elit' are formulated from the same high-performance bacterial core, guaranteeing identical hygiene benefits for livestock buildings. Their main difference lies in their format and method of application, offering solutions tailored to the specific needs of livestock farmers.

Cobiotex 410 is a ready-to-use powder packaged in 25 kg bags. It is easy to apply by hand to the areas to be treated, making it ideal for surfaces such as cubicles in dairy farming.

Cobiotex Elit' is a concentrated, water-soluble formula designed to be diluted before application. It is particularly suited to fogging, spraying or foaming treatments, and is often preferred for straw-bedded areas in livestock buildings.

The choice between these two solutions depends on the breeder's practices and preferences, while guaranteeing effective, long-lasting protection thanks to the action of positive bacteria.

Is Cobiotex technology compatible with all types of litter?

Yes, Cobiotex technology is perfectly compatible with all types of bedding used in livestock buildings, whether straw, shavings, or even cubicles with carpet or concrete. The beneficial bacteria contained in Cobiotex products can thrive on these substrates, provided the pH is neither too high (above 9) nor too low (below 4).

The effectiveness of Cobiotex technology remains constant, guaranteeing a healthy environment whatever the type of litter or housing used. Bacteria settle and form a protective biofilm, optimizing hygiene and helping to reduce pathogens.

Can Cobiotex 410 and Cobiotex Elit' be used in combination with chemical products?

Yes, the use of Cobiotex hygiene products in addition to chemical solutions is perfectly possible and even recommended in certain cases.

For monogastric farms, prior disinfection of the building is essential before applying Cobiotex 410 and Cobiotex Elit'. This step optimizes the implantation of beneficial bacteria and accelerates the effectiveness of the protective biofilm, guaranteeing rapid, long-lasting results.

On ruminant farms, prior disinfection is not always necessary. However, it is imperative that chemicals are only used before the introduction of Cobiotex bacteria. Once the protocol is in place, the use of disinfectants must be stopped or strictly limited to preserve the biological balance established by the beneficial bacteria.

What are the advantages of Cobiotex 410 compared with drying products commonly used in livestock farming, especially for dairy cows?

Bacterial growth in an environment depends on four key factors: pH, humidity, nutrient availability and free space. Dryers only act on humidity, limiting their effectiveness. What's more, their action requires daily application to maintain favorable conditions.

Cobiotex 410, on the other hand, offers a global approach by acting on three essential parameters:

1. pH regulation: lactic acid bacteria release lactic acid to lower pH and create an unfavorable environment for pathogens.

2. Rapid colonization : Selected strains are fast-growing and have a strong ability to adhere to different substrates. They quickly colonize the space, leaving little room for undesirable bacteria to develop. They form a protective, long-lasting biofilm.

3. Nutritional competition: the positive bacteria in Cobiotex technology, when introduced into the environment, consume the same nitrogen and carbon substrates as undesirable bacteria, thus limiting their development.

Thanks to the synergistic action of our strains, Cobiotex 410 only needs to be applied once a week, saving the farmer time and improving the efficiency of hygiene control in livestock buildings.

Although products in the hygiene range are not designed to be ingested, their composition ensures the absence of toxicity in the event of accidental ingestion by animals. What's more, their application requires no personal protective equipment (PPE), making them safe and convenient for farmers.

What equipment is recommended for applying Cobiotex Elit' in monogastric livestock buildings?

Cobiotex Elit' can be applied using a variety of equipment, thanks to its water-soluble formulation and the resistance of its bacteria to variations in pressure and temperature. It is compatible with nebulizers, foam lances, and electric or thermal sprayers. Cobiotex Elit' thus offers great flexibility to meet the specific needs of monogastric livestock buildings.

To ensure optimum product efficacy, it is essential to carefully clean any application equipment that has previously contained disinfectants, to avoid any interaction that could alter the active bacteria.
